This position is for a Construction Manager on-site for an oil and gas client site in Vicksburg, MS. The Construction Manager will lead specific components of the Construction Management efforts for various projects in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure the work is executed to meet safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets. The Construction Manager will provide consultation and expert advice to management.
Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate daily with the Client's General Contractor to ensure work is being completed as laid out in bid documents. Resolve disputes, audit manpower at site, and communicate with stakeholders between the plant and site as issues arise. Conduct morning meetings each day to discuss daily tasks for each discipline. Assist GC with receiving materials and equipment directly interface with GC and Project Site team to resolve RFI's and change orders. Drive site adherence to the project safety plans and initiatives.
Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 15+ years of field construction, construction management or engineering project experience. Experience overseeing all engineering disciplines for a construction management project. Prior experience working in wood products, refinery or chemicals manufacturing environment. Capital project experience. Candidates must be able to commute to the Vicksburg, MS area on a daily basis, or be willing to temporarily relocate during the work-week for the life-cycle of the contract.
