This is a Job Description for an Engineering Technician in Pascagoula, Mississippi

Summary: C & G Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician (mechanical) to perform work as a Naval Diesel Engine Inspector (DEI). The position will be located in Pascagoula, MS.

Duties & Responsibilities: Utilize primary skills in condition-based maintenance assessment of Diesel Engines. Utilize knowledge in engine performance analysis, repairs, machinery vibration and failure analysis. Utilize knowledge in interpreting, reviewing, and applying engine work specifications, engine maintenance standards/practices, repair procedures and technical documentation. Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes and reporting methods for visits. Demonstrate regularly using accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment. Demonstrate ability for interpreting wiring, piping diagrams and control schematics. Demonstrate ability for interpreting manufactures technical manuals and drawings and shipboard engine operational compliance procedures. Utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files. Communicate effectively in writing and orally. Position requires travel.

Requirements and Qualifications: Twelve (12) years of experience within last 10 years in the operation, repair and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion and auxiliary equipment.  Work independently
