This is a Job Description for an AVP – Finance – MS Gulf Coast in Bat St. Louis, Mississippi.

Summary: This job is responsible for strategic vision long term planning, direction and overall accountability for system wide functions. Communicates and interprets organizational and departmental mission goals and objectives to all areas of responsibility. Provides leadership and direction in the planning, implementation, and evaluation activities of all areas of responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures quality of care & patient satisfaction measured by division performance reviews, accreditation and regulatory compliance, and patient advocacy scores. Builds an engaged workforce through leadership, talent development and collaborative employee relationships. Oversees research, education & training to support cutting edge patient care and services. Ensures operational profitability with sound financial performance. Develops and achieves long-term strategic business plans through effective relationship building, communication, planning, and fundraising. Oversees the physical & technological infrastructure and develops organizational structures, programs, and processes cal & Technology Infrastructure. Other related duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications: Required – Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. Preferred – Master’s degree. Required – 10 years experience in successfully managing financial operations, including 3 years’ experience of Healthcare/Hospital and patient care delivery. Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills including the ability to relate to executive. management, professionals and business and community leaders. Excellent leadership and self-direction. Excellent judgment in handling difficult situations. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Professional attitude and ability to relate to executive management, professionals and business and community leaders. Exhibits excellent leadership and self-direction, good Judgment in handling difficult situations.
