Position Purpose:
Provide technical expertise and support in the implementation and optimization of the SMOM (Smart Manufacturing Operation Management) systems platform and associated processes to support sector objectives (MES, PASS, PI, NEXUS)
Ability to support legacy MES systems as the KCNA organization continues our our digital manufacturing journey, including; PIPE, PIMS, and other associated systems.
Leverage Digital Manufacturing Systems to advance mill based process optimization, such as centerlining, process visibility, and visualization standardization.

Mill Managers, IT Specialists, Digital Leads, KCNA Value Stream Teams, GSC Digital Manufacturing Team
Scope:
The incumbent reports to and receives work direction from the Senior Manager MES
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of Information Technology or Engineering experience including working directly with business clients.
Experience of leading assigned IT Projects and/or Programs.
Thorough knowledge of GE Plant Apps and AVEVA PI Systems
Thorough knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems.
Detailed knowledge and advanced ability in MS Office
Detailed knowledge and advanced capability in process controls
Detailed knowledge of electrical and systems safety
Ability to perform software training.
Ability to identify and solve computer hardware/software problems.
Ability to self-manage with little direct supervision.
Acceptable performance level (including attendance).
Be available by phone to respond to call-ins for service and be available to travel for business needs.

Varies widely, depending on project scope and sector needs.
Principal Accountabilities:
Provide technical and operational expertise to achieve quick and timely solutions to digital manufacturing related problems within all site asset team areas.
Ensure the success of KCNA MES journey through support of legacy systems such as PIPE, PIMS, and other associated systems.
Develop and maintain data flows into relevant systems for generating information from Digital Manufacturing Systems (reports, dashboards etc.) to drive improved visibility and faster decision making for asset teams, engineers and site leadership.
Provide support for developing and implementing plans and programs for sustaining the long term growth of SMOM to meet sector objectives.
Gain and sustain SMOM knowledge by obtaining appropriate training and through interaction with corporate Digital Manufacturing networks.
Enable the production facilitys digital journey by supporting work in MES, PASS, PI, and NEXUS
Ensure all system documentation is maintained, kept up to date and accessible.
Contribute as a technical team member to various situations, projects and activities not included in other principal accountabilities to assist in the accomplishment of established objectives.
Build organizational capability in digital manufacturing through key user training and support.
