Major Job Activities
Key Responsibilities:
20% - Train, Advise, Assist, and Integrate the IqAF RIAIS Backshop to enhance maintenance effectiveness and aircraft readiness.
20% - Provide diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of avionics components at intermediate and extended maintenance levels.
15% - Assist with maintenance and repair of RIAIS/IAIS systems, including TCTO documentation and training.
10% - Ensure spares availability and support flight operations.
10% - Train IqAF personnel in use of technical publications, schematics, and applicable specifications.
10% - Recommend procedural changes to improve shop productivity and maintenance outcomes.
15% - Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with CLS and IqAF personnel; perform other duties as assigned.
Material & Equipment Directly Used
Avionics test and diagnostic systems; RIAIS/IAIS equipment; technical manuals; maintenance tracking tools.
Working Environment
Intermediate-level avionics backshop within a deployed maintenance environment; collaborative with international teams.
Physical Activities
Lifting, standing, and working on benches or diagnostic consoles; extended periods of hands-on equipment work.
Qualifications
Education: USAF 7-skill level (Craftsman) or civilian equivalent with A&P certification preferred.
Certifications: A&P certification preferred.
Experience: 8 to 10 years in PW F-100 Engine Backshop or avionics intermediate-level maintenance.
Other Requirements: U.S. Citizen; eligible for Secret clearance; experienced with international teams preferred; must be globally deployable, including to Middle East regions.
Skills and Technology Used: RIAIS/IAIS systems, avionics diagnostic tools, Logistics Management Systems.
