Job Description and Duties:

• Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.


• Respond to customer and sales staff inquiries.


• Review shipping documents to ensure accuracy.


• Make special shipping arrangements, as necessary.


• Track and correct shipping errors.


• Prepare bills and invoices.


• Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.


• Coordinate and track supply chain operations through effective communication with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.


• Keep organized logs and records of executed shipments.


• Plan and track shipments (including costs and timelines) according to customer and company requests.


• Use logistics IT to monitor and optimize shipping procedures.


• Prepare detailed, accurate reports for management support.


• Analyze logistics-related data and suggest improvements for efficiency.


• Know, follow, and enforce all safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.


• Ability to prioritize tasks and work quickly and efficiently.

• Detail oriented.


• Experience with FedEx, UPS and LTL based shipping systems.


• Experience with international shipping and customs documentation.


• Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems.


• Experience with commercial carrier booking and regulations.

Experience

• Prefer at least 4 years of logistics experience in either manufacturing or distribution.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
