Computer/Social Studies (Jr. High)- January 2026

The Greene County School dist. is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Teacher to guide students through a critical stage of academic and personal development. The ideal candidate will foster a dynamic learning environment, support diverse learning styles, and help students build the skills they need for high school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

•  Curriculum Delivery: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with district and state standards.

•  Instructional Excellence: Teach computer and  Social Studies using varied instructional strategies.

•  Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and informal assessments; provide timely and constructive feedback.

•  Classroom Management: Establish clear expectations and maintain a respectful, inclusive classroom culture.

•  Communication: Regularly update parents and guardians on student progress and behavior; participate in parent-teacher conferences.

•  Collaboration: Work closely with fellow educators, counselors, and administrators to support student success.

•  Technology Integration: Use educational technology to enhance learning and track student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred for some subjects)

• Valid state teaching certification for middle grades

• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills

• Ability to adapt lessons for students with diverse learning needs
