This is a job for a MRO Buyer position located in the Grenada, Ms area. .
Responsibilities : Maintain responsibility for monitoring/creating purchase requisitions, on a daily basis, for appropriate vendors through SAP/Oracle-MRP system, and converting requisitions to purchase orders. Manage the purchase of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for maintenance and operations. This includes researching suppliers, negotiating prices, and placing orders.Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of products. This includes tracking orders and managing inventory for non-stock maintenance items.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that critical items are always in stock to prevent operational disruptions. This includes tracking orders and managing inventory for non-stock maintenance items.Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-savings opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining quality standards. Prepare purchase orders, invoices, and contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This also includes maintaining accurate records of purchases and supplier agreements.Work closely with other departments, such as engineering and production, to forecast needs and make informed purchasing decisions based on demand.Proven negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier relationship management.Must be a proven problem solver.Must bring positive energy to the role and support the rapid needs of the factory.Demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights to improve purchasing strategiesAct as frontline supplier manager for the supply base related to product linePerform other duties as assigned.
Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, engineering or related field preferred.Experience with ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) are a plus
