Position Purpose: This position is responsible for providing day-to-day assistance to the District Office and management staff in the assigned district, ensuring that all services to children and families are provided and accounted for in accordance with Agency service plans according to prescribed procedures.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Monitor Services in all functional areas (ECE, MH, NUT, Disability, Family Community Partnership, Health, ERSEA) in assigned District(s) in accordance with prescribed practices outlined in the Ongoing Monitoring Management System.

• Assist District and center administrators with the orientation, ongoing training, and assessment of job performance of classroom, nutrition, and family services staff; provide technical assistance and hands-on activities to assure continuous, adequate, and timely delivery of service.
• Conduct meetings and work sessions with center staff and parents as needed and allow feedback to enhance skills and knowledge regarding service delivery and to promote parental education.
• Attend meetings and workshops at each level of program operations; participate in other meetings and workshops to keep up to date on requirements and service delivery practices. Design and present formal presentation(s).
• Assist in orientation of parent committee(s) and county council(s); provide informational resource materials and training as appropriate.
• Assist the center administrator in Center reorganization activities as requested.
• Monitor the provision of all services to children and families in each functional area (Early Childhood Education, Mental Health, Nutrition, Disabilities, Family/Community Partnerships, Health and Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility, and Assessment).
• Assist the center administrators with the development of corrective action plans and review/verify completion of tasks.
• Assuredly, needed referrals for services are made in a timely manner.
• Conduct meetings with center administrators and family Community workers as appropriate to allow feedback regarding prescribed practices and to enhance skills and knowledge regarding the delivery of services or related record keeping.
• Maintain an up-to-date record-keeping system in accordance with the Record Keeping and Reporting Management System.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on-site visits and other monitoring activities in accordance with practices outlined in Operational Procedures and the On-Going Monitoring System.
• Maintain up-to-date monitoring and other records to verify completion of services.
• Review ChildPlus.net and other reports in accordance with the recordkeeping system.
• Prepare and submit detailed summary reports of activities monthly.
• Meet with local resources as needed to include LEAs, HAC, EAC, etc., when requested.
• Partnership with local, State, and Federal Agencies as needed.
• Conduct and develop partnerships with appropriate partners in the community to coordinate opportunities that meet the diverse needs of parents and the community.
• Attend Parent Committee Meetings as needed to establish and support positive rapport with parents.
Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Experience and Other Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Work, Consumer Science, Health Services, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Head Start Standards, PIR, OMB, Mississippi Childcare regulatory environment, or other related areas in a non-profit organization; USDA and ACF guidelines, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in case management or related areas.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft products to include spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and word processing).

• Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain a patient and professional attitude, balancing attention to detail with a ‘bigger picture’ perspective.
• Substantial problem-solving relevant to maintaining the continuity of Head Start/Early Head Start operation.
• Ability to travel, sometimes overnight, and with short notice.
• Ability to accurately comprehend oral and written assignments and interpretation of policies and procedures, Performance Standards, and Federal, State, and local regulations.
• Ability to relate to clients from diverse populations.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., frequent, prolonged sitting and standing to complete tasks.
• Ability to travel, sometimes overnight, and with short notice.
