QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Standard Mississippi Teachers Certificate 2. Minimum of two(2) years successful teaching experience 3. Expertise in the area of Mathematics and English Language Arts instruction 4. Extensive knowledge of the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards and supporting MDE documents

REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum and Building Principal

JOB GOAL: To provide leadership and coordination in the ongoing development and improvement of the curriculum and instructional program of the Meridian Public School District.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including but not limited to: 1. Communicates effectively with supervisors, principals, teachers, interventionists, and students. 2. Collaborates with administrators, teachers, and interventionists to improve the quality of instruction. 3. Models and co-teaches in an effort to ensure that standards are being taught to mastery and adequately assessed. 4. Provides descriptive feedback to principals, teachers, and interventionists. 5. Leads standards-based planning through PLC’s and standard studies. 6. Collaborates with the District administration, principals, teachers, and interventionists to analyze all school and district data including formative and summative student achievement data. 7. Assists teachers with the collection, interpretation, and use of data to improve student learning. 8. Builds relationships of mutual trust and respect to facilitate instructional shifts that benefit students. 9. Trains teachers and administrators on teaching strategies, data analyses, best practices, and other instructional content that may increase student achievement. 10. Attends professional development as determined by the superintendent or assistant superintendents. 11. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. 12. Supports the Meridian Public School District Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan. 13. Performs other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary based on Teacher pay scale at 204 days per year.
