POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Advocate serves as a liaison between patients, families and the Clinic care team to achieve positive patient experiences and promote patient-centered care. This role performs a wide variety of duties aimed at supporting patients in navigating health care services, resolving patient complaints and concerns, and providing targeted education and coaching to staff. The Patient Advocate assists with handling patient complaints, collecting data, resolving complaints, and assessing and identifying any problem areas. In addition, the Patient Advocate also serves as the Privacy Coordinator and assists the Privacy Officer with compliance and regulatory issues related to HIPAA compliance and similar matters, including auditing, patient rights, policy development, and organizational education.
