Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan, direct, and monitor all activities in the warehouse. Each day, you will develop and manage warehouse operations to effectively control the receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of products, systems, and services to customers. You will also showcase your expertise by proposing and managing the annual warehouse budget.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in the Smart Power Division located in North Mississippi/Memphis area.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Operating within the approved budget and managing the warehouse staff activities to optimize resource utilization and determines corrective actions for cost-related issues as necessary.
Improving warehouse operations using lean practices.
Planning and optimizing warehouse utilization and inventory.
Increasing the WH accuracy while implementing sustainable process improvements
Monitoring the storage, delivery, and dispatch of orders and keeping stock control systems up to date; and overseeing stock control and processing orders.
Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
Proficiency inSAP WM/EWM(goods receipt, goods issue, transfer orders, inventory management)
Strong knowledge ofKPI development and reporting(fill rate, inventory accuracy, cycle count, etc.)
Familiarity withWMS systems, barcoding, and RF scanning technologies
Proficiency inMicrosoft Office(Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis
Proven track record managing multi-shift warehouse teams (20+ direct/indirect reports)
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a master's degree or professional certification (APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) considered assets.
Demonstrated experience managing high-value inventory ($50M+ preferred; $80M+ ideal)
5+ years of progressive experience as a Warehouse Manager or equivalent leadership role
3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Warehouse Management (WM) module
Experience implementing 5S, Kaizen, or similar methodologies in a warehouse environment
Stronginventory controlpractices including cycle counting, FIFO, and reconciliation
Knowledge ofOSHAregulations and warehouse safety standards
Experience withinbound/outbound logisticscoordination and carrier management
Ability to managebudgets, labor planning, and cost control for warehouse operations
Strongproblem-solvingskills with the ability to manage escalations and material shortage
Strong communication and stakeholder management across procurement, operations, and finance
Ability to lead change and drive aculture of accountability and safety
Detail-oriented with a focus onaccuracy and process disciplinePreferred
Experience in amanufacturing or industrial environment(especially electrical/automation industries)
Exposure toERP system upgrades or SAP migrations
Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
