Job Summary

Looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to join the logistics team. In this role, you will oversee all shipping operations within the warehouse, ensuring that products are dispatched accurately, efficiently, and safely. You’ll coordinate with various departments to optimize shipping processes, manage inventory control, and lead a team of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate is experienced in warehouse management systems, logistics, and team supervision, with a strong focus on process improvement and safety standards.

Duties

• Supervise daily shipping activities, including order picking, packing, labeling, and dispatching goods to ensure timely delivery.


• Manage inventory levels related to shipping supplies and coordinate with inventory management teams to maintain accurate stock records.


• Oversee the operation of forklifts and materials handling equipment to facilitate heavy lifting and efficient movement of goods.


• Implement process improvements to streamline shipping workflows, reduce errors, and enhance overall warehouse efficiency.


• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.


• Utilize warehouse management systems to track shipments, update inventory data, and generate reports.


• Lead and train warehouse staff on best practices for shipping & receiving, materials handling, and equipment operation.

Experience

• Prior experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar shipping-focused role within a warehouse environment is essential.


• Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse distribution processes.


• Hands-on experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment used in materials handling.


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar platforms is highly desirable.


• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehousing and heavy lifting tasks.
