This is a temporary job for 2 workers in Clewiston, Florida. Work begins September 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027. The work week is 66 hours per week, 12 hours a day, Monday through Friday, and 6 hours on Saturday. The hourly work schedule is 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Pay is $17.44 per hour.
Agriculture Equipment Operator to operate equipment used to plant, cultivate and harvest corn, peppers, squash, field corn, sugar cane, and seed cane. Including pre-plant activities, plant, field maintenance, and post crop activities for corn, peppers, squash, field corn, sugar cane, and seed cane. Must have the correct type of license required by State and Federals laws. During field operations workers may be required to drive motorized farm equipment, or a tractor pulling a wagon through the field or between fields incidental to the harvesting jobs being performed. Workers will be instructed in the safety and operation of the tractor before driving. All tractor driving will be done in the field during the harvest. Field Care - Tying plants, planting plants, pruning plants, cleaning drippers and Micro jets, removing plastic drip lines, removing dead plants, and removing debris. Workers will walk along rows specified by the employer and will remove grass and weeds from the fields using their hands or with a hoe. Workers will be standing, crouching, bending and reaching for an extended period. The work is outdoors and will continue in all kinds of weather. Will be responsible for operating the vehicles used to move crops on the farm. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Operate forklifts and equipment used to move supplies and harvesting equipment in the field. Maintain harvest equipment. Must be able to reach, bend and lift items weighing 70 pounds
