Job Summary

Management, implementation and monitoring of PeopleSoft Enterprise systems and the infrastructure necessary to support them.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

+ Installs, maintains, and upgrades all PeopleSoft software, services and infrastructure. This includes database tier, middleware tier, webserver tier and client tier software, services and infrastructure as well as any supporting infrastructure.

+ Provides top-level support for PeopleSoft problem resolution. Works closely with Business Analysts, Systems Engineers and PeopleSoft Developers to identify problems and to provide resolutions.

+ Migrates third party and custom code into production. Serves as quality control to ensure standards are being met when custom solutions are being migrated.

+ Installs, maintains, and upgrades all Oracle databases and clients used in support of PeopleSoft applications. This includes copying production or test databases to other test instances.

+ Monitors the PeopleSoft infrastructure and database for performance and pro-active maintenance.

+ Develops plans for implementation and determines the impact of any PeopleSoft or Oracle patches or changes in process and procedures.

+ Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems, or related information technology field, with course work in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment and a minimum of five years related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in PeopleSoft/Oracle administration, UNIX administration and project coordination. Directly related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

+ Advanced knowledge of UNIX operating systems

+ Advanced knowledge of vi editor

+ Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office

+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server

+ Advanced programming language experience, preferably SQL

+ Advanced understanding of lifecycle management

+ Knowledge of UNIX systems administration

+ Advanced knowledge of Peopletools applications, i.e.: Application Designer, Data Mover, Change Assistant, Application Engine, and SQR.

+ Advanced knowledge of installation, configuration and maintenance of Peopletools service software, i.e.: Tuxedo Application Server, Process SchedulerServer, WebLogic Webserver, Elastic Search Server

+ Advanced knowledge of Peopletools infrastructure in a UNIX environment.

+ PeopleSoft DPK installation process

+ Oracle RMAN

+ Oracle database administration

Preferred Qualifications

Oracle DBA Certification. Experience in UNIX systems administration, Windows systems administration, PeopleSoft Human Capital, Management 9.2, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2, PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2, SQL development
