Job Description

Our client is seeking a project engineer for our geotechnical engineering department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in Geotechnical Investigations and Phase I Environmental Assessments involving residential and commercial sites, institutional and education sites, roadways and bridges, and higher learning projects.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct due diligence research for upcoming projects.

+ Prepare engineering reports for geotechnical and environmental studies.

+ Generate boring location plans, undercut plans, and segmental retaining wall plans.

+ Perform engineering calculations for bearing capacity, slope stability, pile capacity, and retaining wall designs.

+ Review submittals for active construction projects.

Essential Skills

+ Geotechnical engineering

+ Commercial construction

+ Roadway construction

+ Roadway design

+ Bridge design

+ Environmental testing

+ Project management

+ Construction management

+ Geotechnical analysis

+ Geological Engineering

+ Three to five years of site design consulting experience

+ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate

+ Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history

Work Environment

The position is primarily based in an office environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
