**Job Description**

The Transit Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Public Sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the transit industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking and partnerships within the transit sector.

+ Present and demonstrate products or services to potential customers.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

+ Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives.

+ Drive growth and expand market presence.

+ Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

+ Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, municipalities, and transit authorities.

+ Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies.

+ Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

+ Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.

+ Stay informed about regulatory changes and funding opportunities in the transit sector.

+ Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

- Nine or more years of product sales experience

- Ability to travel

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Experience with Transit fare collections and software as well as closed and open-loop transit payments. Proven track record with Transit partner development.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic planning within the transit or transportation industry.

- Strong understanding of transit operations, funding mechanisms, and regulatory environments.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proven experience in sales or a related field.

- Proficient in using Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.

**Location Expectations**

The role is posted as remote; however, candidates who are located near any one of our locations would be required to work on site at least three days per week.?

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $111,095.00 - $130,700.00 - $143,770.00
