Summary
Recommends the most efficient utilization of resources within the continuum of care, prior to the delivery of services. Evaluates, maintains and monitors surgical block time with correct preference card(s)
Responsibilities
Schedules patient surgical procedures at BMH Women's OR in accordance with established protocols
+ Registers patients accurately, efficiently and professionally into the EPIC system to ensure data base integrity and facilitate claims processing
+ Completes assigned goals
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Experience
?Preferred: Prefer 5 years of utilization management/case management experience; Desired experience to include the Epic OPTIME application and ADT/Prelude application; CHAA certified
?Minimum: LPN with three (3) years of acute care experience; or an individual with understanding of medical terminology and 3 years Surgery Scheduling experience to include Epic OPTIME and ADT/Prelude; CHAA certified or obtain certification within 15 months of employment
Licensure, Registration, Certification
?Preferred: LPN
?Minimum: CHAA

?Minimum: Excellent communication skills. Advanced computer literacy skills
