**Mainframe Z/OS System Admin**

**Experience: 10+ years**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe Systems Administrator with deep expertise in IBM z/OS, ISV product support, and mainframe networking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining system integrity, performing upgrades, and ensuring high availability and performance of mainframe systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
· Lead and support maintenance activities, system releases, and major z/OS upgrades.
· Administer and configure IBM z/OS operating system and subsystem components.
· Manage and monitor z/OS performance, availability, and IPL processes.
· Install and maintain IBM and ISV products including OPS/MVS, CA-1, CA-7, RACF, CA Sysview, Endevor, CA Netmaster, Strobe, FileAid, Abendaid, Xpediter, and BMC Suite.
· Perform SMP/E-based software installation and patching.
· Configure and support Z/OS Connect and related middleware.
· Build and upgrade Mainframe LPARs and operating systems.
· Maintain system parameters and parmlib configurations.
· Conduct catalog management and utilize IBM system utilities effectively.
· Collaborate with operations teams for DR testing and HCD configuration.
· Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
**Required Skills & Experience:**
· Strong understanding of System z architecture and mainframe infrastructure.
· Proven experience in z/OS administration, ISV product support, and mainframe networking.
· Hands-on experience with SMP/E, IPL, and performance monitoring tools.
· Familiarity with IBM, CA, BMC, Compuware, and ASG products.
· Experience in Z/OS Connect configuration and support.
· Knowledge of HCD, DR testing, and catalog management.
· Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
**Salary and Other Compensation:**

The annual salary for this position is between $73,350- $116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
