NetSuite Customer Success is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer specializing in ERP data migration, with proven experience designing and executing secure, accurate, and efficient migrations from legacy systems such as QuickBooks and Sage to NetSuite. **The Ideal Candidate has experience in:**
**ERP Data Migration Expertise:** Lead end-to-end data migration efforts, including **hands-on** data extraction, transformation, mapping, and validation between legacy and NetSuite systems.
**Technical Proficiency:** Apply deep technical knowledge of data structures, ETL processes, and data quality principles to maintain accuracy and integrity throughout migration. **Strong capability in building and executing complex data transformations and data manipulation workflows.**

**Responsibilities**
**Data Migration Expertise**
+ **Analyze and Design:** Analyze source systems (QuickBooks, Sage **, and other legacy ERP platforms** ) and target NetSuite data models to design comprehensive, end-to-end data migration **strategies** , ensuring accurate field mapping and seamless integration.
+ **Data Extraction & Transformation: Execute complex data extraction from source systems and perform sophisticated data transformations to align with NetSuite data models. Develop custom scripts and processes to handle diverse data formats and structures.**
+ **Develop and Maintain ETL Processes:** Build, test, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to support large-scale data sets, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
+ **Data Cleansing, Transformation & Validation:** Assess, **Measure,** and execute data cleansing, transformation, and validation activities to ensure data quality **and** integrity. **Identify and remediate data quality issues including duplicates, inconsistencies, and structural problems. Data Mapping & Transformation:** Collaborate with clients and business analysts to **develop detailed** data **mappings** from legacy systems, providing expert guidance on data structure and optimization. **Design and implement transformation logic to meet business requirements.**
+ **Monitor & Troubleshoot Migration Issues:** Perform data reconciliation, proactively identify migration issues, and resolve discrepancies through root-cause analysis and effective collaboration with technical teams.
+ **Documentation & Compliance:** Document all migration processes, mappings, and scripts while ensuring strict adherence to data security and privacy standards.
+ **Cutover & Post-Migration Activities:** Support cutover planning, data validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure a successful transition and accurate migrated data.
**Data Strategy & Advisory Services**
+ **Data Hygiene Assessment: Conduct comprehensive data quality assessments of client source systems, identifying data cleansing requirements, duplicate records, incomplete data, and structural issues that could impact migration success.**
+ **Migration Strategy Development: Develop tailored data migration strategies and roadmaps, including phased migration approaches, risk mitigation plans, and data archival recommendations.**
+ **Data Governance Consulting: Advise clients on data governance best practices, master data management strategies, and ongoing data maintenance protocols to ensure long-term ERP success.**
+ **Data Profiling & Analysis: Perform detailed data profiling on source systems to understand data patterns, volumes, relationships, and quality metrics. Use findings to inform migration approach and transformation requirements.**
+ **Pre-Migration Planning: Work with clients during the discovery phase to scope migration complexity, assess data readiness, and establish clear success criteria and acceptance standards.**
**Customer Success and Relationship Management**
+ **Client Onboarding & Support:** Guide clients through the data migration journey, setting expectations, explaining processes, and addressing questions or concerns.
+ **Project Management:** Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects stay within scope, budget, and timelines, delivering high-quality outcomes.
+ **User Training & Enablement:** Train clients on NetSuite data management best practices to build confidence and autonomy post-migration.
+ **Post-Migration Support:** Provide ongoing post-migration assistance, troubleshoot issues, and help clients fully leverage their NetSuite environment.
**Team Collaboration & Communication**
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with business analysts, functional consultants, technical teams, and application owners to align on requirements and ensure smooth migration execution.
+ **Effective Communication:** Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex data migration concepts into clear, actionable information.
+ **Customer Education:** Develop and deliver documentation, FAQs, and presentations to help customers understand NetSuite data models and migration best practices.
+ **Collaborative Problem Solving:** Engage with internal teams to create innovative solutions for complex migration and data integrity challenges.
**Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization**
+ **Process Improvement:** Identify areas for efficiency gains within migration methodologies and contribute to continuous process optimization.
+ **Knowledge Sharing:** Maintain detailed documentation of migration frameworks, tools, and lessons learned to enhance future projects and team knowledge.
+ **Customer Feedback Loop:** Gather feedback from clients post-migration to refine processes and improve service delivery.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
**Technical Skills**
+ **ERP Data Migration Expertise:** Proven hands-on experience (5+ years) executing complex data migrations for ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Sage **, QuickBooks** ), including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). **Must demonstrate strong technical execution capabilities in building and running data migration processes.**
+ **Strong NetSuite & ERP Knowledge:** Deep understanding of NetSuite data structures, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteCloud, and third-party migration tools, as well as experience migrating data to/from other ERP platforms.
+ **SQL & Data Transformation Proficiency:** Advanced SQL, analytics, and data transformation skills, including experience with PL/SQL and scripting languages such as Python for data manipulation and automation. **Ability to write complex transformation logic, data cleansing scripts, and validation queries.**
+ **ETL Tools & Processes:** Practical experience with industry-standard ETL tools (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica, Talend **, Celigo, Dell Boomi** ) and strong understanding of data pipelines and workflow design. **Hands-on experience building end-to-end ETL workflows.**
+ **Data Governance & Quality Management:** Solid knowledge of data governance principles, data quality assurance, **master data management,** and best practices in enterprise data management. **Ability to assess data quality and develop remediation strategies.**
+ **Security & Compliance:** Familiarity with key data security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX **, CCPA** ) and proven ability to apply them during migration and integration activities.
+ **Data Mapping & Validation:** Skilled in interpreting, mapping, and reconciling data between source and target systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. **Strong ability to design complex field-level mappings and transformation specifications.**
+ **Data Profiling & Analysis: Expert in data profiling techniques, data pattern recognition, and statistical analysis of data quality. Ability to extract insights from source data to inform migration strategy.**

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
