Consulting Technical Manager - Data Implementation
**Job Description**

Come and join us! Opower is an integral part of the Oracle Energy & Water Global Industries Unit which shapes and delivers premier demand side management (DSM) solutions for our utility clients. Opower's solutions have helped utilities in driving energy efficiency, improving customer satisfaction and meeting regulatory goals at scale.

=As the Consulting Technical Manager for Data Implementation at Opower, you will serve as a technical and functional leader who's responsible for delivering our complex data integration and web rates implementation projects to support Opower programs and products.

In this role, you'll be leading strategic client and internal conversations, educating clients on data requirements, product and program capabilities and coordinating with multiple stakeholders in drafting and overseeing technical and project implementation plans to successful completion. Along with this, you'll be leading technical implementations of data integration projects that'll involve integrating large volumes of enterprise data and enabling the Opower platform and products for our clients.

You'll also be leading new initiatives and process improvements which will include collaborating across multiple functional teams within Oracle to enhance team efficiency and quality.

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

**Delivery and Implementation Leadership**

- Lead the design and implementation of Opower's data, web, and rates platform for utility clients. The data, web, and rates platforms are critical and foundational to delivering Opower programs for our clients

- Direct the entire data integration lifecycle from initial utility data intake to production delivery, to postproduction support and maintenance of Opower energy efficiency programs and DSM web solutions

- Define and maintain standards for utility data processing, validation, and integration

- Oversee successful integration between utility data systems and Opower's data platform

**Strategic Leadership**

- Drive the strategic direction of Opower's data, web, and rates platform architecture

- Coordinate and lead strategic projects across multiple teams within Oracle and with clients

- Oversee implementation and adoption of new data validation and transformation frameworks

**Team Leadership & Development**

- Exercise decision-making authority over data implementation resources and priorities

- Help lead hiring and training of new team members

- Mentor team members and guide their skill and knowledge acquisition in technical, functional, and consulting domains

**Qualifications**

- 10+ years consulting experience in utilities industry (electricity, gas, water)

- Proven track record in leading implementation of large-scale data and rates projects

- Experience of technical and functional leadership

- Experience of multiple end-to-end projects as a functional technical manager

- Ability to operate at a senior level within the consulting or implementation organization

- Demonstrated capacity to make independent technical decisions

- Capability to lead across technical, functional and personnel domains

**Education**

- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- Advanced degree preferred

**Required Skills**

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities

- Proven ability to lead collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders

- Experience in technical requirement gathering and solution design

Technical Skills

- Deep knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture

- Experience in cloud platforms, like AWS or Azure, OCI preferred

- Proficiency in Java, SQL, Linux/Unix Bash programming

- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

- Experience with data quality and monitoring tools

- Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipelines

- Proficiency in web technologies - JavaScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP

- Expertise in web authentication methodologies like SAML and OAuth

**Responsibilities**

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer's objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
