Lead Systems Engineer, Mac Engineering

The Lead Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the strategic direction, design, and implementation of associate technology at Humana, focusing on Mac solutions. This role will require a deep understanding of modern workplace technology and the employee experience. This role will require a deep understanding of Mac Management solutions, primarily Jamf and Intune.

The Lead Systems Engineer is responsible for the oversight of multiple systems and projects, including Mac Onboarding, Network, policy management, compliance, and automation across Mac technologies. This position will also be accountable for implementing business continuity and oversee and evaluate Mac security, privacy, network, and new device solutions across different lines of business. Device choice is expected to go live mid 2026 to allow associates to choose a Mac for their role.

This role will be an instrumental part of growing the Mac devices across Humana's many different areas across Security, Network, Development and Engineering. They will partner closely with peers across Architecture, Product Management, Support Services, and Experience & Design.

**Required Qualifications**

+ 5+ years of Mac, Systems Engineering experience in a large-scale enterprise environment, specific to workplace technology solutions.

+ 5+ years of Systems Engineering ITIL experience, in design, analysis, configuration, and maintenance of complex systems software solutions and infrastructure.

+ Experience designing and implementing highly scalable management systems and controls leveraging products including Jamf or other similar Mac Management solutions.

+ Outstanding collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate technology strategy, requirements, and architecture conversations with all partners (management, business users, and technology resources).

+ Demonstrated extensive knowledge managing large, complex initiatives in a results-driven environment, and accountability of deadlines and value propositions.

+ Strong knowledge of data governance, risk management and information security processes including SOC, CIS, NIST, HIPAA and PCI.

+ Experience creating strategic roadmaps, reference architecture and engineering artifacts.

+ Expertise working with user-centered design principles and methodologies.

+ Experience with expanding a Device choice program for associates.

+ Improving the Mac onboarding experience with an "out of the box" enrollment.

+ Experience with in-office WiFi improvements for Mac.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field or any combination of relevant experience, education, and training.

+ 5+ years combined hands-on engineering and architecture experience (TOGAF) with public and private cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions.

**Work-At-Home Requirements**

+ To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

+ At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

+ Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

+ Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

+ Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

+ Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

**Pay Range**

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$117,600 - $161,700 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
