**Job Description**
Oracle Health Advance is a customer-facing analytics platform transforming healthcare with actionable insights at scale. The platform empowers healthcare organizations to identify improvement opportunities, benchmark clinician EHR efficiency, and leverage advanced visualizations for data-driven, collaborative improvement across the Oracle Health ecosystem. Now, our R&D team is building a new AI-enabled data platform to capture the value of Oracle Health's next generation of fully AI-integrated clinical applications.
**Responsibilities**
As a Principal Data Engineer on the Oracle Health Advance research and development team, you will develop analytics that power our next-generation electronic health record insights platform, leveraging data from Oracle Health's new electronic health record and integrated suite of clinical AI agents. In this role, you will architect and develop scalable data pipelines and services that power real-time and batch analytics, drive ML/AI model integration, and enable actionable insights for our customers. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on how global healthcare providers leverage advanced analytics and AI to drive measurable improvements in clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
Specifically, you will:
+ Architect, design, and implement robust, scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions for aggregation, normalization, and analysis of data from diverse, distributed clinical and operational sources
+ Help mentor a talented team of data architects
+ Deliver key components of a modern, AI-powered data platform within Oracle Health Advance
+ Develop and maintain data infrastructure, APIs, and services for reliable, secure, and high-performance analytics in a cloud-native environment (preferably OCI or another major cloud provider)
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, product managers, and health domain experts to enable advanced visualizations, benchmarks, and actionable insights
+ Own architectural decisions, technology selections, and process improvements, ensuring the platform is extensible, maintainable, and secure
+ Leverage your expertise in modern programming languages (Python or similar), distributed data processing (like Spark), SQL databases, and cloud computing
+ Integrate LLMs across our data processing stack and customer-facing UI
+ Ensure reliable data operations by embracing DevOps, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code best practices
+ Communicate architectural decisions, technical findings, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 8+ years of engineering experience building and maintaining scalable data platforms, distributed systems, or enterprise analytics solutions in the cloud
+ BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
+ Deep expertise in object-oriented programming (Python or similar) and data structures
+ Experience developing within modern data frameworks for distributed data processing (like Spark, Hadoop, Hive, etc)
+ Strong skills in advanced SQL on large-scale columnar databases (like HP Vertica or Oracle ADW)
+ Experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, OCI Data Flows, and OCI Data Integration
+ Proven track record designing and optimizing data architectures for high performance, security, and reliability at scale
+ Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers in a collaborative, agile environment
+ Familiarity with AI/ML model integration and modern API design (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.)
+ Understanding of DevOps technologies (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.) for deploying solutions on cloud infrastructure (OCI or equivalents like AWS, Azure, GCP)
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to summarize technically complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
