Resource Coordinator (Professional Services)

**Job Description Summary:**

Rocket Software's Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) function is seeking a proactive and detail?oriented Resource Coordinator to support the Professional Services team in aligning staffing needs with customer and project demands. This role is a central coordination point between Project Managers, Delivery Managers, and the Project Management Office, ensuring accurate and efficient resource planning, forecasting, and scheduling using Kantata SX, Excel, and other data analysis tools.

The Resource Coordinator improves delivery forecast accuracy, maintains real?time visibility into resource assignments, and optimizes talent deployment across the Professional Services organization to accelerate time to value. Responsibilities include reconciling assignment fidelity for month?end processes; becoming a subject matter expert in revenue recognition and how engagements are structured for revenue; partnering with CSE Operations and the Revenue Manager on forecast integrity; and working closely with the Sr. Director of the Project Management Office on delivery?engagement data integrity. The role also requires deep visibility into the Professional Services delivery backlog to surface opportunities that accelerate time to value, vigilant monitoring of engagements working at risk, and a meticulous focus on data quality. This role will partner with many leaders in the Professional Services organization and will report to the Sr. Director of the CSE Project Management Office.

Eastern & Central Timezones are preferred.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Assignment Management and Scheduling**

+ Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Delivery Managers, and the Project Management Office to align skills, availability, and project requirements.

+ Own and maintain assignment records in Kantata SX, ensuring accurate roles, hours, capacity, and timelines.

+ Support Project Managers and Delivery Managers in assigning resources based on skills and capacity matched to customer availability in daily or multi?day time blocks.

+ Become an expert in reconciling availability matches between project needs and consultant availability.

+ Maintain clear visibility into resource availability by product area to maximize time to value.

+ Proactively identify and resolve conflicts between resource assignments and milestone schedules; assess schedule and financial impacts when work must be reshuffled due to changing priorities, slippage, or resource attrition.

**Forecasting, Revenue Recognition, and Month?End Readiness**

+ Monitor delivery forecasts and assignment data in Kantata SX; investigate and reconcile discrepancies that affect delivery or financial accuracy.

+ Reconcile assignment fidelity for month?end processes to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.

+ Serve as a subject matter expert in revenue recognition processes, including how engagement structures, milestones, and acceptance drive recognition.

+ Partner with CSE Operations and the Revenue Manager to maintain alignment between delivery plans and revenue expectations.

+ Support period management and assignment management, including their relationship to time entry and revenue recognition for the Project Management Office.

+ Contribute to dashboards and metrics such as utilization, assignment accuracy, forecast stability, and staffing velocity.

**Delivery Backlog and Time?to?Value Acceleration**

+ Become an expert in the professional services delivery backlog; partner with Delivery Managers and Project Management Office leadership to identify opportunities to accelerate time to value.

+ Partner with the Solutioning team to stay current on future resource requirements for pipeline projects and skill demand.

+ Collaborate with Delivery Managers to anticipate when demand is likely to exceed capacity based on known pipeline and planned work; recommend mitigation options.

**Data Quality, Integrity, and Governance**

+ Partner with the Sr. Director of the Project Management Office on delivery?engagement data integrity across systems and reports.

+ Ensure data quality by enforcing accurate skills, certifications, competencies, and assignment attributes in Kantata SX.

+ Maintain system hygiene standards for time tracking and assignment updates; establish auditable records and traceability.

**Cross?Functional Collaboration and Escalation Awareness**

+ Act as a liaison between Project Management, Delivery, Solutioning, CSE Operations, and Revenue Management to ensure end?to?end staffing continuity.

+ Support weekly resource review meetings, highlighting capacity gaps, conflicts, backfill risks, and soft bookings.

+ Recognize patterns in scheduling conflicts or delivery delays and elevate risks promptly to leadership.

+ Closely monitor working at risk engagements with Project Managers tracking all required conditions and approvals.

**Requirements**

**Education & Desired Certifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field preferred

+ Resource Management Certified Professional

+ Certified Resource Planning Professional

+ Certified Scrum Master

+ Six Sigma certifications

+ Information Technology Infrastructure Library

+ Project Management Professional

**Experience**

+ 3-5+ years in resource management, capacity planning, or operations within a professional services or consulting environment; experience in a software company is preferred.

+ Hands?on experience with a professional services automation platform; Kantata SX and Salesforce are strongly preferred.

+ Strong understanding of professional services roles such as Project Managers, Consultants, Developers, Solution Architects, and Delivery Engineers.

+ Deep understanding of forecasting logic, period management, assignment management, and how milestones, acceptance, and time entry influence revenue recognition and delivery outcomes.

+ Familiarity with project lifecycles, staff planning, and principles of customer delivery success.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools for operational analysis and communication.

Annual salary range for this position is between $88,500.00 - $119,475.00 gross before taxes.
