**The Role**

Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

**Must Have**

5 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree; 0 years with a PhD.

**Nice to Have**

Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field Strong Leadership skills Experience with Engineering Software (AutoCAD or similar) and machine programming Excellent communication skills and listening skills that empower ISG to respond to the voice of the customer and advocate on behalf of the R&D/PT organization Ability to "sell" ISG's value and to run projects as a service business like any other well-run professional services business Ability to field waterfront issues as they emerge Ability to develop and manage budget and schedule of individual project line items Strong critical thinking skills Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills Analytical mindset, but also creativity to seek, encourage, and find non-traditional approaches that have historically 'boxed-in' manufacturing Able to "think outside the box" to develop creative solutions to problem statements Data analytic skills with experience developing tracking/monitoring tools such as ROI, performance, cost, etc. Self-starter and motivated to solve problems and able to manage projects with little supervision from manager. Comfortable working alone but also in a team environment where cross collaboration is critical to executing tasks.
