Sr. Accountant
Description
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a variety of financial operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and organizational skills who can oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and company policies.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including detailed variance and flux analyses.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain supporting schedules to ensure data integrity.
- Manage daily cash operations, including cash applications and payment processing for checks and wire transfers.
- Complete bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and monthly inventory count reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and disclosures.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Verify payroll accruals, benefit payments, and ensure timely submission of payroll reports.
Requirements
Senior Accountants for this role should have a Bachelor's in Accounting with 3+ years of experience in Accounting.
- Eexperience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and performing account reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries and accruals.
- Experience in bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
- Solid understanding of tax compliance for federal, state, and local regulations.
- Familiarity with payroll operations, including payroll reporting and benefit payments.
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate variance and flux analyses.
