IT Vendor Management Lead: Cybersecurity, Identity Platforms and Resellers

The IT Vendor Management Lead - Cybersecurity & Identity Platforms + Resellers drives governance and contracting excellence for high-risk, security-sensitive technology suppliers. This role manages strategic security vendors, identity platforms, managed detection and response services, and reseller relationships that enable enterprise licensing and hardware procurement. The IT Vendor Management Lead partners closely with Cybersecurity, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Infrastructure Security, and Risk teams to ensure vendors meet stringent regulatory, compliance, and operational standards. Given the critical nature of this portfolio, this position requires strong familiarity with cybersecurity architectures, zero-trust principles, and vendor risk management practices.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Serve as the primary strategic owner for assigned supplier relationships, ensuring alignment to enterprise technology, financial, operational, and risk objectives.

+ Lead and mature supplier governance including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), executive business reviews, steering committees, and strategic roadmaps.

+ Oversee contract strategy, including renewals, enterprise licensing, SaaS agreements, consumption models, pricing optimization, and SLA development.

+ Partner closely with IT, Security, Finance, Legal, Architecture, and business leaders to drive alignment between business requirements and vendor capabilities.

+ Lead escalations, risk mitigation, service remediation, and performance correction plans to ensure vendor accountability.

+ Manage enterprise financials for assigned suppliers including cost optimization, forecasting, ROI, and long-term investment planning.

+ Maintain deep awareness of market trends, supplier risk, and competitive landscapes within portfolio.

+ Influence executive stakeholders using strong communication, storytelling, and analytical reasoning.

+ Contribute to vendor management maturation including frameworks, dashboards, and governance tools.

**Managed Supplier Portfolio**

This portfolio comprises of cybersecurity suppliers) and large reseller/VAR relationships. The composition of this portfolio is subject to change in response to evolving business requirements and organizational strategies. This individual will manage suppliers that provide:

+ Identity and access management (IAM) solutions

+ Zero trust, endpoint protection, CASB, SASE, and secure network access tools

+ Cloud security and threat intelligence platforms

+ Managed cybersecurity services

+ Reseller, VAR, and distribution relationships that support licensing and hardware procurement

A successful candidate would have:

+ An executive presence with the ability to influence and present to VP/SVP levels.

+ Demonstrated financial acumen and the ability to analyze, model, and communicate cost scenarios.

+ Deep understanding of SaaS contracting structures, licensing models, renewal strategies, SLAs, and consumption models.

+ Proven history driving strategic negotiations, contract optimization, and supplier lifecycle management.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management business business administration, engineering, or other related field

+ 7+ years in IT vendor management, strategic sourcing, technology procurement, or related IT leadership roles.

+ Experience managing cybersecurity suppliers large reseller/VAR relationships.

+ Experience managing large-scale, complex technology suppliers with multi-million-dollar budgets.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master's Degree

+ Experience supporting large, matrixed organizations with healthcare preferred but not required.

+ Strong understanding of IAM, zero trust, endpoint protection, SASE, cloud security, or threat intelligence solutions.

+ Experience working with cybersecurity leadership on vendor risk assessments and regulatory compliance.

+ Background negotiating high-security, high-availability support agreements and multi-tier reseller arrangements.

+ Vendor management certifications (CVM,etc.)

+ Experience operating in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2, SOX)

Additional information:

In this role you will report to an Associate Director of IT Vendor Management.

This role is an individual contributor with no managerial responsibilities.

This is fully remote within the US.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

**Pay Range**

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$115,200 - $158,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
