Job Summary

The University of Southern Mississippi invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, School of Leadership and Advanced Nursing Practice. Qualified applicants with teaching/practice experience as a board-certified Nurse Anesthetist are welcome to apply.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

+ Develop and teach graduate courses.

+ Contribute broadly to our thriving graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.

+ Mentor/advise nurse anesthesia students.

+ Supervise nurse anesthesia students in the simulation setting.

+ Develop and maintain syllabi, lesson plans, and more for each course taught.

+ Maintain the standards of The University of Southern Mississippi.

+ Possess a passion to educate anesthesia students

+ Assist the program clinical coordinator with student scheduling, onboarding, tracking, paperwork, applications, and communications.

+ Inventory simulation supply ordering, stocking, and inventory.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.
