FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Salary by Grade Level: GS-09: $61,722 - $80,243 GS-11: $74,678 - $97,087 Responsibilities You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by managers. You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems. You will analyze, forecast, and interpret functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. You will track and control funds for special programs. You will analyze or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR GS-11 GRADE LEVEL: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying comprehensive financial management analysis and performance evaluations of budgetary transactions, system outputs, and complex manning data to resolve financial anomalies, optimize fund utilization, and ensure regulatory compliance within an organization. FOR GS-09 GRADE LEVEL: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in the comprehensive financial management analysis and performance evaluations of budgetary transactions, system outputs, or complex manning data to resolve financial anomalies, optimize fund utilization, or ensure regulatory compliance within an organization. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. FOR GS-11 GRADE LEVEL ONLY: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; -OR- Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; -OR- Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled; OR- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. FOR GS-09 GRADE LEVEL ONLY: Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree; -OR- Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; -OR- Successful completion of LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled; -OR- A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Additional Information This announcement uses the Direct Hire Authority (DHA) for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
