Site Reliability Developer (Oracle Health)
**Job Description**

Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services. Facilitate service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.

Oracle Health is seeking a mid-career Site Reliability Developer to automate and improve the data services that support Oracle Health customers. This role focuses on building reliable, repeatable automation for database, GoldenGate, ETL, upgrade, migration, and OCI infrastructure workflows across production and non-production environments.

You will help turn complex operational processes into configuration-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, scripts, validation checks, and runbooks. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across software development, databases, cloud infrastructure, and operations, with a strong focus on reliability, repeatability, and customer impact. You will design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services, design and develop architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys solving practical engineering problems, reducing manual work, and building automation that helps teams deliver data services faster and more safely at scale.

**Responsibilities**

This role works with Site Reliability Engineering teams on shared full-stack ownership of Oracle Health data services, automation platforms, and related technology areas. The associate will build and maintain automation for database provisioning, upgrades, migrations, GoldenGate configuration, ETL support, and net-new OCI environment builds. They will develop infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code using Terraform, Shepherd, Python, shell/ksh, PL/SQL, and related tooling, while improving CI/CD pipelines for database, infrastructure, and operational automation.

The associate will be expected to understand end-to-end service configuration, technical dependencies, service topology, and production behavior across database, replication, infrastructure, and operational workflows. They will design and deliver automation with a focus on security, resiliency, scale, performance, and operability, converting repeatable operational tasks into reliable scripts, workflows, validation checks, runbooks, and self-service patterns.

This role partners closely with engineering, SRE, database, and application teams to define scalable patterns for customer onboarding and lifecycle management. The associate will support OCI-based database and data movement platforms, including Autonomous Database, Exadata/ExaCS, GoldenGate, object storage, networking, vault/secrets, and related services. They will troubleshoot complex automation, database, infrastructure, replication, and distributed-system issues, including issues that have not yet been documented in standard operating procedures.

The associate will help define and communicate scale, capacity, security, performance, and operational requirements for the service and technology stack. They will guide teams toward service architecture improvements that improve reliability, automation, observability, and customer outcomes, while documenting operational procedures, mitigations, support boundaries, and handoff expectations for long-term operations. This role requires professional curiosity and a desire to develop deep understanding of Oracle Health services, OCI technologies, databases, and automation platforms.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $91,400 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
