Job Summary

The Mississippi Digital Humanities Hub is seeking a post-doctoral scholar to support its mission to serve as a digital humanities resource for the state of Mississippi. This grant funded position, potentially renewable for up to one year, will focus on planning a conference and summer workshop, preparing materials for secondary school instructors, and managing relationships with partner institutions throughout the state.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

+ Develop, plan and prepare lessons, training guides, and materials for summer workshops hosted by the Mississippi Digital Humanities Hub. The 2027 workshop will be for secondary-education teachers from across Mississippi.

+ Prepare content experts and staff to teach and support summer workshops.

+ Lead digital humanities workshops for both internal and statewide partners.

+ Assist in the development of a statewide network of university and college digital humanities programs.

+ Assist and support funded DH programs at USM and at partner institutions across the state in conjunction with University Libraries.

+ Along with Mississippi Digital Humanities Hub staff, plan, organize, and lead a conference on digitalization and the digital humanities for stakeholders in Mississippi.

+ Adhere to Center for Digital Humanities, Mississippi Digital Humanities Hub, and university policies, procedures, and regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.
