This is the entry-level professional contract development and/or analysis work within the Department of Finance and Administration. Incumbents in this position work independently or as a team. Incumbents will be required to possess knowledge of professional procurement principles and techniques, state and federal laws, and rules and regulations. This is technical and administrative work involving the development and analysis of contract proposals, analysis of contract documents, analysis of bid documents, the development of invitations to bid and/or requests for proposals, and the development and administration of contracts. The incumbent reviews procurement information submitted by state agencies. The work includes responsibility for the planning and administration of contracts. Incumbents assist state agencies in interpreting and adhering to state policies and procedures. Incumbents receive general supervision from a higher-level Analyst or other administrative superior.
