This is very responsible supervisory and professional work in various functional areas of the Office of the State Auditor. An Auditor Analyst IV is required to perform a wide variety of activities that require a high level of intuition, logic, analytical ability, technical knowledge, and communication skills. This position is responsible for applying auditing, business, management, and social science research methods to evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of public programs.Employees in this classification are responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting performance audits and studies of state and local government programs, and thus have developed technical and supervisory proficiencies. They serve as auditors-in-charge of moderately complex and/or technically demanding performance audits and studies.Auditor Analysts IVs work under the general supervision of a higher level Auditor Analysts and Audit Department Management and, in some instances, other Auditor Analyst IVs. They supervise lower level Auditor Analysts, and, in some cases, other Auditor Analyst IVs.
